Dream of Mom
I don't know why, but last night I had some extremely vivid dreams. They happened in between the time I first went to sleep at 12:15 am and when the dogs woke me up barking at the thunderstorm at 1:45. Most of them were pretty weird, but one was amazing.
I dreamed that my mother was sitting up against a wall in some room surrounded by faceless people who may have been family or friends. I remember thinking to myself that it was awesome to see her, as I haven't dreamed about her as much lately. I seemed to be completely lucid. I walked over to her expecting her to quickly disappear, since that's usually what happens. I talk to her, remember she passed, and instantly lose her.
This time was different. I looked at her and asked, "Mom, can I talk to you?" She reached her hand out to me and said, "Sure, honey." I held her hand in my left hand- palm to palm, as I stroked it with my right hand. I remember thinking how warm and soft her hand was. Then she looked over my shoulder and mentioned my son, Jared. She was smiling in his direction, but I couldn't see him. She may have said something to me about him. I don't recall. That's when the dream ended or shifted to something less memorable.
